Our school, accredited by WYSE and ALTO, is located in Berkeley, California, located a short underground ride from San Francisco, is a town of 100,000 inhabitants, and famous as the home of the University of California at Berkeley. The greater Bay Area affords the visitor unlimited opportunities for tourism, study and work; while tourist attractions abound, this is also the home to world renowned institutions of research and higher learning, as well as to Silicon Valley, birthplace of the computer industry… and all this amidst a cool to moderate climate. Whatever your interests, the Bay Area can certainly satisfy your needs! In this colourful and friendly student-oriented city that lies just across the bay from San Francisco affords a wealth of famous attractions, such as the Golden Gate Bridge, Fisherman’s Wharf and Alcatraz, and visits to places such as the Wine Country and the Monterey Peninsula are easily arranged.
The school occupies a two-storey building in downtown Berkeley with indoor and outdoor common areas and a large, glass-covered atrium, close to the station and the university campus. There is free internet use in two student computer rooms, as well as a kitchen, library and study rooms.

ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE
Host Families: are carefully selected and offer students the opportunity to learn more about the USA/California culture in a comfortable setting while studying English in Berkeley. Choice of single room w/ bed and breakfast or half-board,. All bed linen and towels provided. Laundry facilities available in home or at local laundry for about $5. Access to public transit- commute from 15 to 45 minutes
LEISURE PROGRAM
The school offers a varied leisure program during the afternoons and evenings. Enjoy social activities with fellow students, teachers and hosts, or join organized trips to spectacular sites all over California. These activities are optional and at extra cost.
