The school, acredited by ALTO and IALC, The GLS German Language School is located in the historic center of Berlin, in trendy "Prenzlauer Berg": Around 1900 this district used to be a poor peoples´ habitat. After WW II Prenzlauer Berg ended up in the communist part of Berlin - with many intellectuals and artists living here. After the fall of the wall the district boomed and became the trend district in Berlin. Some of the main Berlin highlights are within walking distance from the school.
Our school in Berlin is one of the most reputable schools around the country, offering a high level of education and varied activities, these being directed by specially-trained guides. The campus comprises 5 buildings that reflect the architectural history of Berlin, 9,000 m2 of gardens, 40 classrooms, cafeteria, restaurant, bookstore, 50 studios and lofts in the mini-campus reception in the lobby of the school and free WLAN throughout the campus, plus a room with 15 computers.

ACCOMMODATION AVAILABLE
Apartments: The school operates 20 apartments @ Brandenburg Gate, each apartment with 2 bedrooms - bookable as single or shared double. Thus 2 to 4 students live together in one apartment, sharing bath and kitchen. They are located 20 minutes by bus or 10 by bicycle. Another option is to share an apartment with locals.
Studios: The 50 studio-apartments are mini lofts facing the garden just behind the language school. Every studio has its own unique style. There are 2 categories: standard and superior. All standard studios are mini-lofts, i.e. the sleeping area is on a higher level - the ceilings are 4.80 m high.
Host families: Your hosts can be couples (married or not) as well as singles, with or without kids. Relevant is that they are friendly and open, that they are willing to spend time with you. All hosts have been inspected, and many have been hosting our students for several years.
LEISURE PROGRAM
The school offers a varied activity program during the afternoons and evenings such a: visits to museums and places of interest, cinema, theaters, etc. During the weekends the school organizes visits to Postdam, Desden, Leipzig, etc.
